After months of designing, refining and creating behind the scenes, the Obsidian Collection has arrived at Bokinii.

It is our darkest collection yet.

But Obsidian was never really about black.

It was about everything black represents.

Strength.

And the parts of ourselves we don't always show the world.

Inspired by the stone

Obsidian is volcanic glass, formed when molten lava cools rapidly.

It is created through fire.

That idea became the foundation for this collection.

Because strength isn't always something we acquire.

Sometimes life simply reveals the strength that was already there.

Obsidian became a symbol of that idea.

You don't have to become someone else to be powerful.

You don't have to be louder.

You don't have to be harder.

You don't have to make yourself smaller, either.

You can be soft and powerful at the same time.

Designed in black

Black has always had a certain presence in fashion.

It doesn't need an explanation.

It doesn't chase attention.

It simply holds it.

For Obsidian, we wanted that feeling translated into swimwear.

The collection strips back the colour and allows the silhouettes, body and craftsmanship to become the focus.

From the feminine curves of the Muse top to the clean lines of the Nara triangle and the more striking Dune Serpent bandeau, each piece has its own personality while remaining unmistakably Obsidian.

Handmade, as always

Like every Bokinii collection, Obsidian isn't mass produced.

Each piece is designed and handmade in South Australia in small batches.

That means we make fewer pieces.

It means we can be intentional about what we create.

And it means the bikini you buy isn't one of thousands produced to fill a warehouse.

It's part of a limited chapter in the Bokinii story.

We believe swimwear should feel personal.

Something you remember wearing.

Something that becomes part of a holiday, a summer, a night by the ocean or a moment where you felt particularly like yourself.
