Bokinii is by passionate woman. A woman that stands at the peak of her mountain, cheering for herself and cheering for those climbing theirs, cheering  for you. You go girl 👑

The Bokinii Story

For those that are new here, let me introduce myself. I’m Bo, owner of Bokinii Swim (pink bikini).

A woman drawn to fashion and the ocean, swimwear was a natural progression.

I am a self taught swim designer who spent the last 5 years fine tuning my design skills and honing in on my point of difference in a saturated swimwear market.

I choose also not to work with professional models to produce content for Bokinii, instead photographing women from the local community all this time because I wanted to make sure you are represented in the images you are trying to shop from.

For 5 years, I been providing these photoshoots for free and creating a platform for women to do something that awakens their self love and empowers them. It is my mission to spread the message that bikinis are for all women and to stay away from producing more toxic imagery of air brushed, and unattainable beauty standards.

In my 5th year, I walked in front of my own lens; for myself and my customers. I’ve been talking the talk and empowering hundreds of women to wear a bikini, and this year I swallowed my own pill and stood with you.

Bokinii isn’t just about swimwear. It’s about standing in and owning your power, your femininity and throwing off societal shackles that have conditioned women to adhere to patriarchal standards.

Bokinii is about recognising the power of true self love and using it to help other women rise and ascend.

The power of a woman is limitless when she recognises her own strength while singing about that of her sisters.

And so, I present my most self-representative collection to date. Unique and feminine in bold, expressive colours.

I chose to wear pink in this shoot as the colour to me, represents the feminine, a place I am recognising holds its own strength.

Wearing pink isn’t ‘girly’, it is a bold and powerful statement about divinity; a celebration of HER.
